About Charity of the Month
Tracy Brabin’s ‘Charity of the Month’ is her new campaign to promote the fantastic work of local charities.
Each month, Tracy will nominate a charity to be featured on her website. The purpose of this is to showcase their brilliant work, to highlight any volunteering opportunities, and to encourage people to give what they can to these great causes.
Tracy will donate any earnings she makes through work such as completing MP surveys, to the chosen charity each month. If she does not raise any donations through surveys or similar methods, she will make a personal donation to that charity.
September Charity of the Month

“What a brilliant idea it is to to have a charity of the month, shows just how thoughtful and caring Tracy is.
“I am absolutely delighted that Batley Foodbank has been chosen as the first of the monthly recipients.
“It is particularly welcome right now because we are busier than I have ever known and are finding it ever more difficult to keep up with demand, and all donations are most warmly welcomed, so thank you, Tracy. “
Tracy Brabin MP said;
“I have chosen Batley Food Bank as my first Charity of the Month because it is a fantastic asset for our community, run by local people to support local people in need.
“As the MP for Batley & Spen, it’s heartbreaking to hear stories such as a young mum with a premature baby who, having been sanctioned, has needed to turn to the Food Bank, or of people in work whose wages don’t keep up with the cost of living. I know that Batley Food Bank is more important now than ever before.
“I encourage anyone who can, to donate food or funds to the charity, and to consider committing some of their time as a volunteer.”
