Tracy Brabin MP and Kirkwood Hospice will host a special Tea Party on Saturday 16th September.
The celebratory event is part of Kirkwood Hospice’s work to mark 30 years of caring for local people.
The local MP has selected Kirkwood Hospice as her ‘Charity of the Month’ for the month of September, and hopes that the event will raise vital funds for the local charity, as well as awareness of their invaluable work to support and care for local people and their families.
MP for Batley and Spen, Tracy Brabin said:
“I am over the moon to be working with Kirkwood Hospice this month, to encourage people in Batley & Spen to volunteer for, or donate to this amazing local cause.
“During a recent visit to Kirkwood Hospice, I was blown away by what a warm, innovative and fun place it is. There are lots of misconceptions about Hospices, but Kirkwood is invaluable to many local people living with life limiting illnesses and their families. As a community, I would like us to celebrate and support their outstanding work.
“I encourage local people to support this very special tea party, and to consider supporting the Hospice either by volunteering with them or making a donation”.
